    Description

    Confedrate fuse plug, copper, with spanner holes, for use with timed paper fuses.  Described as a typical CSA, Confederate pattern copper fuse plug example "C" on page 448 of the Dickey and George book, Field Artillery Projectiles of the American Civil War. Unmarked.  Longer version believed to be made for use on a rifled gun.
